She is an applied scientist, researcher and innovator with a passion and expertise in nature based solutions, ecological restoration, and sustainability.

In the past few years she has been focused on commercial development of a nature based technology for water treatment (EnphytoBox) - a sustainable, smart and scalable alternative to traditional water treatment systems to support decarbonisation and water efficiency.

Presentation

Wetland in a Box : A smart water treatment system to support the decarbonisation of water in mining

Addressing significant challenges such as water insecurity and poor quality, which negatively impact industries, the environment, local economies, jobs, and social resilience, this system offers a solution that overcomes barriers like remoteness, communication blind-spots, space constraints, climate challenges, and high costs.

It operates efficiently in remote and hostile conditions, making it particularly suitable for the mining sector.

The presentation will highlight the benefits of this system for Western Australia, detailing how it improves water security and quality, and explaining its positive impact on both the environment and the mining industry.

This innovative approach aims to support sustainable practices and ecological preservation, offering valuable insights for stakeholders in the mining industry, environmental agencies, local communities, and policymakers.
