Why attend our Events
Our events bring together leaders, innovators, and decision-makers across mining, energy, water, waste, and environmental sectors to exchange critical insights, tackle shared challenges, and shape integrated solutions.

With a focus on current science, regulatory shifts, and emerging technologies, we provide the knowledge base needed for informed, forward-looking decisions.

These are not just industry updates—they are platforms for collaboration, strategic alignment, and action.
By connecting disciplines and perspectives, our events drive impact where it matters most: on the ground, in policy, and across industries working toward a sustainable and resilient future.

Circular Futures 2025 Series

Advancing Sustainability through Integrated Circular Systems Across Key Sector

The Circular Futures 2025 Series is a national initiative presented by Mines and Environment in collaboration with key policy, industry, and academic stakeholders.

This strategic series is designed to drive multi-sector engagement in circular economy transformation across Australia’s most environmentally and economically critical domains: plastics and packaging, mining and industrial waste, water systems, and offshore marine and energy operations.

In response to intensifying environmental risks, shifting regulatory frameworks, and national commitments to sustainability, Circular Futures 2025 offers 344 focused events throughout the year.

Each is crafted to address sector-specific challenges, promote cross-disciplinary innovation, and accelerate Australia’s transition toward regenerative, low-waste systems that restore rather than deplete ecosystems.

These summits are more than conferences — they are solution-building platforms that break silos between industry, government, research, and environmental stakeholders, fostering collaboration that drives measurable impact.

Key objectives across the Series

  • Drive National Circular Policy Dialogue: Foster clarity and momentum around evolving federal and state circular economy frameworks.

  • Bridge Sectoral Silos: Connect stakeholders across packaging, mining, water, and offshore operations to build integrated solutions.

  • Catalyse Regulatory and Innovation Readiness: Prepare participants for legislative changes while showcasing innovative pilots and best practice case studies.

  • Accelerate Transition to Regenerative Systems: Support pathways that move from waste reduction to ecosystem repair and climate-positive outcomes.

  • Build Professional Capacity and Networks: Strengthen collaboration between engineers, regulators, sustainability leaders, scientists, and community stakeholders.
